Christine Carrino Gorowara is the Dean of the School of Education at Trinity Washington University. She came to Trinity from the University of Delaware, and prior to her time at UD she worked in accreditation, serving as a vice president of the Teacher Education Accreditation Council, then as a vice president of the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. She also participated in the founding of the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation. Dr. Gorowara serves on the board of the American Association of Colleges of Teacher Education and has been president of the Delaware Association of Colleges for Teacher Education, the Northeast Region Representative of the Advisory Council of State Representatives and is currently chair of ACSR. She has been an active leader and participant in many other educational organizations. She has participated in numerous initiatives addressing diversifying the teacher pipeline, ensuring culturally responsive competence in Delaware educator preparation graduates, and incorporating anti-racist curriculum in PK-12 schools. She co-led the founding of a Montessori charter school to serve low income families in Delaware.
