Dr. Burton-Hoyle is a Professor of Special Education in the area of Autism Spectrum Disorders ( ASD) and is also the founder of the College Support Program for college students with ASD. She has served on the Interagency Committee for Autism Coordination, which provides guidance at the federal level to Congress. Dr. Burton-Hoyle has served on several state and national organizations where she has been a content expert in ASD lifespan issues including education and mental health system She has been faculty at Eastern Michigan University since 2006.
