Heather Villarruel, Ed.D.

Associate Director, Teacher Preparation/Clinical Assistant Professor
Arizona State University

Dr. Heather Villarruel is a clinical assistant professor and associate director of teacher preparation at Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College (MLFTC) at Arizona State University (ASU). In addition to improving the skills of educators, she is committed to improving the performance of educational systems as a whole. Her experience included professional development, coaching, and teacher training as a member of a school district's leadership team. Throughout her time teaching special education, she has been awarded the title of teacher of the year.
