Rebekka Olsen, Ph.D., currently serves as the Program Manager for a teacher residency program in collaboration with Milwaukee Public Schools, funded by a Teacher Quality Partnership grant. She also works as an education researcher on a grant project from the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) to develop and examine virtual coaching and an online community of practice for rural special educators. Dr. Olsen’s research interests are in creating, implementing, and testing programs to support effective recruitment, preparation and retention of special education teachers. She has extensive experience leading organizational development and innovation projects. She specializes in wide-scale project leadership, implementation, and scale-up within diverse educational contexts.
