Katie Sprute is a seasoned leader with 20 years of experience in education, project management and leadership. Katie is currently a Faculty Chair in the Department of Online Teaching and Learning (DoTL) and Grand Canyon University and for nearly 10 years an assistant professor in the College of Education. In addition to Katie’s work at GCU she is also a consultant, trainer, presenter, and researcher. Sprute’s research interests include structural empowerment, job embeddedness, Artificial Intelligence (AI) usage in higher education, online teaching and learning, and strategies for supporting community among remote employees. Katie is currently ABD in her Ph.D. in General Psychology with an emphasis in Industrial/Organizational Psychology.
