Sheniqua Pierce is a research analyst at Southern Regional Education Board on the educator workforce strategies and policy research team in the Office of Postsecondary Education. She collects and analyzes federal, state and local data about the teacher pipeline and current P-12 educators, and brings nearly a decade of experience as an educator in public schools across Atlanta.
Prior to joining SREB, Pierce was an elementary special education teacher across grades pre-K through fifth before working as a graduate research assistant at Georgia State with preservice and in-service teachers. She holds a bachelor’s of science in early childhood education and a master’s degree in elementary education with a concentration in mathematics from Georgia State University. She is also a Ph.D. student where her research focuses on preservice and elementary in-service teachers connections to mathematics.
