Jessica Nadzam is a member of the Postsecondary team at SREB, where she works as in the Teacher Workforce Department to better understand how the SREB states' public schools recruit, train, and retain high-quality educators. Jessica transitioned into policy and research after seven years as a high school science teacher in the Arkansas delta. Between her teaching and research career, Jessica completed several fellowships in education policy, including the Public Policy Fellowship at Leadership for Educational Equity, a summer policy and evaluation fellowship at Bellwether, the Education Policy Fellowship Program, and a data manager internship at the Institute for Educational Leadership.
Jessica received her bachelor's degree in biology from Lyon College, her master's of science in education from Johns Hopkins University, and an education specialist degree from Arkansas State University. She is a Ph.D. candidate at Texas Tech University, where she focuses her studies on teacher retention and teacher preparation.
