Amy Spilker brings over a decade of teaching experience to her role as a 2nd-grade educator at Lincoln Public Schools, Nebraska. She began her career in elementary education in Utah and Florida, contributing to diverse educational environments before settling in Lincoln in 2018. Currently pursuing her Master's degree at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Amy is deeply engaged in the ArtTeams program, where she explores innovative approaches to teaching with arts and emerging media. Her research interests include scaffolding students' inquiry skills, fostering culturally responsive classroom communities, and integrating arts-based inquiry across curricula to enrich student engagement and learning.
