2nd Grade Teacher

Ryan Margheim has been a 2nd grade teacher at Nelson Mandela Elementary in North Omaha since 2016. He is currently pursuing a master's degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Ryan leads his school in implementing restorative practices and community circles, emphasizing the importance of social and emotional skills alongside academics. He is involved in the NAA-funded ArtTEAMS research grant, which prepares teachers to teach inquiry through arts and emerging media. Ryan's work aims to increase student engagement and support a sense of belonging through arts-based inquiry.
