Dr. Adam Akerson is an Associate Professor in the Department of Education Studies at Stephen F. Austin State University. Dr. Akerson teaches early childhood and elementary education courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, Dr. Akerson supervises teacher candidates in a variety of field experience settings, from early field experiences through student teaching, where co-teaching is a critical component. Dr. Akerson is an active researcher with interests in co-teaching, teacher feedback, and mentoring. Dr. Akerson has presented work in these areas at a variety of national-level conferences, along with several peer-reviewed publications.
