Amanda Winkelsas is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Learning and Instruction at the University at Buffalo. She also serves as the Director of the UB Teacher Residency Program. Amanda previously served as a middle and high school English teacher in the NYC Public Schools. Her research has focused on innovative, context-specific models of teacher education and understanding the impact of such models on teacher quality, diversity, and retention. She is interested in relational practices that contribute to teacher thriving.
