Cheryl-Marie Manson now serves as the Project Manager for the Michigan Association of Administrators of Special Education (MAASE). At MAASE, Cheryl-Marie oversees various projects aimed at enhancing leadership capacities and educational standards across Michigan’s special education landscape. Her focus is on delivering strategic guidance and operational oversight within MAASE’s various initiatives, including the development and implementation of training programs and professional development opportunities for educators.
Previously, Cheryl-Marie led the Van Buren Intermediate School District's Instructional Services department. Her past responsibilities included providing regional leadership around Multi-Tiered Systems of Support to create effective systems for student achievement. With a deep commitment to educational excellence, Cheryl-Marie engaged with district leadership teams, administrators, and teachers in coaching cycles that addressed core educational questions essential for student success and learning optimization.
Cheryl-Marie Manson holds over 30 years of experience in various educational roles including Special Education Teacher, Curriculum Consultant, Special Education Supervisor, Building Principal, and District Curriculum and Technology Director. She is a Grand Valley University alumna, holding a BA in Psychology and Masters Degrees in both Learning Disabilities and School Administration.
