Ann Castle is an assistant professor of Literacy Education in the Department of Teacher Education at Michigan State University. Castle is a former elementary classroom teacher, Reading Recovery® teacher, literacy coach and professional development consultant with two decades of teaching experience in K-16 settings. Her scholarship focuses on literacy instruction, teacher preparation and global education, with a focus on scaffolding learners during small group differentiated instruction and preparing teachers to do this work. Castle holds advanced degrees in Child Development and K-12 Reading and Literacy Education.
