Dr. Connor K. Warner is an Associate Professor and the Associate Director of the Urban Institute for Teacher Education at the University of Utah. Prior to entering higher education, Dr. Warner served for almost a decade as a department chair and English/social studies teacher. He has been involved in teacher education program leadership and renewal at multiple institutions ranging from a small liberal arts school to a state flagship AAU university. Dr. Warner’s primary scholarly agenda centers on the development and design of preservice teacher preparation programs, about which he is a frequent presenter at national conferences and has authored numerous peer-reviewed articles. He is the co-author, with Dr. Etta Hollins, of Rethinking Teacher Preparation Program Design (2021) and the National Academy of Education commissioned paper “Evaluating the Clinical Component of Teacher Preparation Programs” (2021).
